AhSa-Ti Nu: A multi-disciplinary artist with work rooted in poetry, storytelling, sound engineering and activism, AhSa-Ti Nu utilizes her voice as a means of expressing soulful words in a contemporary context. AhSa-Ti Nu’s influences of gospel, jazz, rhythm and blues and rock continue to shape her goal as an artist: to create music that everyone can connect to emotionally and spiritually. ________Pianist Maurice "Mo" Egeston spends his musical time leading bands and writing music while also working as a collaborative pianist and educator in both the classroom and private studio. With Mo E (Egeston) All-Stars, he creates a unique groove driven sound and vibe with his originals, reworks and arrangements. It’s a sound that blends influences of jazz, soul, Latin, funk, r&b and electronic music, hallmarks of his style since his days with the pioneering live house/electronic project Urban Jazz Naturals. For the Celebrate the Groove shows, Mo expands the band’s sound by collaborating with like-minded vocalists and songwriters from the region including the diversely talented creative artist AhSa-Ti Nu.
