Mo E Trio (Mo E3)
Maurice "Mo" Egeston has been a prominent presence in the St. Louis music scene since 1995 leading the groups Mo E All-Stars, Soul Alliance (Coco & Mo), Urban Jazz Naturals and Vargas Swing. Throughout his career Egeston has also worked actively as a collaborative artist, accompanist and educator in both the college classroom and private studio.
In 2010 Mo E Trio (Mo E3) was formed to allow Mo to return to his roots as a pianist. The trio is a flexible ensemble that borrows from the familiar piano trio, groove jazz and funk rhythm section traditions while blending those influences with the modern sounds and rhythms of progressive soul and electronic music.
