Celebrate the Groove is the monthly party hosted by Mo Egeston at Lola in the downtown St. Louis loft district. mo E All-Stars play a unique blend of house, funk, breakbeat and drum & bass with flavors of jazz, Latin and soul. Original tracks by mo E are featured but the band also explores arrangements of songs by groove based artists as diverse as Fertile Ground, Bugz in the Attic, Santana, Wookie and more. Lola now has professional sound and lights and these nights have been big fun. Early arrival is recommended. DJ Steve-O-will be spinning before and between the live sets.
In case you weren't here back in the day...Steve-O was voted the RFT's best club DJ for many years during the peak of St. Louis' first deep house movement around the turn of the 2000's. Before that he and Mo could be found performing at the legendary Green Room- back when Washington was in its rawest "underground" phase.
You can also catch Steve-O in the Absinthe Bar at Lola the 2nd Saturday of each month. We're glad he's back!!
