Later...Original tracks by Maurice "Mo" Egeston, jazz influenced electronica, Latin house, drum and bass and downtempo grooves.

The essence of the sound is the exploration of live drums vs loops...featuring breakbeat master Grover Stewart on drums and the poly-rhythmic funk of percussionist Duane "Jingo" Williams.

mo E's Lola Live! featuring Brothers Lazaroff!

Mo Egeston Presents is a weekly music series held at Lola in the downtown STL loft district.

This week's featured artist is Brothers Lazaroff. The band is fresh off their second year of SXSW showcases and a recent 15 song recording session for an album to be released in the Fall. They were also named best St. Louis' best Americana band (non-traditional) in the 2010 RFT Music Poll.

What does it sound like? Flavors of roots music, indie rock and Americana driven by a focus on songwriting and musical communication.

These brunches have been big fun. Reservations recommended and kids are always welcome!

Celebrate the Groove is the new monthly party hosted by Mo Egeston at Lola.

mo E All-Stars will be performing 2 big sets of dance floor driven music at the newly expanded club. Live House, Latin, Downtempo and Drum & Bass with elements of jazz and soul featuring:

Grover Stewart-drums and guest vocals
Duane"Jingo" Williams- percussion
David "DLaz" Lazaroff- guitars and guest vocals
Chris "The Proprietor" Hansen- percussion
Maurice "Mo" Egeston- beats and keys.

The sound will stretch from mo E originals to remixed classics with a healthy dose of on the spot creation.

Not enough? The legendary DJ Steve-O will be on the turntables before during and after the sets. Steve-O is the DJ that defined and later cemented mo E's love of all things house beginning with his legendary nights at the Otherworld. For this show Steve-O will be spinning styles including Acid Jazz, old school hip hop, Soul and of course Deep House.
